Partner

Robert came to law as a second career committed to the idea that excellent skill, knowledge, and representation are not just a goal, but an absolute requirement.  As Managing Partner of KPM LAW’s Fairfax Office, Robert put together and manages an aggressive team of litigation professionals committed to aggressive, efficient and responsive promotion of client interests.

Robert focuses his practice on the defense of large loss and complex commercial and construction claims, contract disputes, professional and business liabilities, commercial transportation accidents, and premises liability, as well as insurance coverage analysis and litigation.  He has tried numerous cases in both state and federal courts and has successfully argued in the appellate courts of Virginia, Maryland and the Fourth Circuit.

After graduating from the University of Virginia, Robert received a full scholarship to study opera at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia.  He sang for ten years on stages from the east coast to Chicago before returning to law school at the College of William and Mary, where he took second place in William Mary’s National Moot Court competition and was a member of the I’Anson-Hoffman Inns of Court.  Robert is happily married and also manages his boy-girl twins and a wonderful mixed-breed, rescue dog.

Megan A. Wagner is an experienced attorney who practices in workers’ compensation and related labor and employment law issues, trucking and transportation liability, personal injury, insurance defense, and general civil defense litigation. Prior to coming to KPM Law, Megan was a high-volume litigation attorney in Chicago where she managed all aspects of more than 1000 litigated cases during her career. She has successfully argued before the Workers’ Compensation Commission, General District Courts, Circuit Courts, and the Appellate Court.

Megan obtained her Juris Doctorate at Chicago-Kent College of Law. She was awarded a Certificate in Labor & Employment Law. She was an editor of the Employee Rights & Employment Policy Journal and the Illinois Public Employee Relations Report. Megan was a finalist in the Charles Evans Hughes Oral Argument competition. Additionally, she was consistently on the Dean’s List, awarded merit scholarships each semester for academic success, and was elected to be her class representative each year of law school. Prior to graduating law school, Megan worked as a Law Clerk in two prominent Chicago Labor and Employment law firms. She also held positions as Judicial Extern to the Honorable Elizabeth Loredo-Rivera in the Cook County Circuit Court and Federal Judicial Extern to the Honorable Jack Schmetterer in the United States Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Illinois.

Megan is the daughter of a truck driver/former owner of a small, family trucking business and a doting stay-at-home mother, who raised her on a farm in rural Indiana. It was there that she learned the value of hard work, integrity, and a firm handshake which have served her well throughout her career. Megan resides in the Richmond area with her family and their two cats, Gizmo and Gadget. Megan and her family enjoy swimming, running, playing board games, reading, and exploring Virginia together.
