Aimee (pronounced “I-MAY,” as in “I-MAY go to the store today”) recently joined KPM’s Fairfax office in 2024 as an Associate. Currently, Aimee practices in a wide variety of practice areas, notably personal injury claims, property damage claims, and contract disputes. Aimee particularly enjoys marshaling facts in her cases to fit legal theories that best meet client needs.

Before joining the firm, Aimee studied History and East Asian Languages and Literatures at Washington & Lee University, graduating cum laude in 2020. After a pandemic-caused interruption, Aimee returned to W&L to pursue a law degree. There, she participated in affinity groups including BLSA, PILSA, LALSA, and APALSA. Aimee worked as a Summer Student Caseworker in the school’s Advanced Administrative Litigation Clinic (AALC) her first summer, gaining valuable experience in how to persuade a court that her clients’ truth was the truth in their claims. Aimee then worked for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Administrative Law Judges in Newport News for her second summer. Determined to continue working in a demanding legal environment, Aimee then returned to the AALC as a Student Caseworker, gathering evidence, communicating with experts, and preparing motions and arguments to present on behalf of disabled coal miners. Her proudest achievement from the clinic has been successfully defending a coal miner’s claim in an appellee brief at the Third Circuit Court of Appeals with two other students.

When she is not working, Aimee can be spotted watching older tv series, such as Quantum Leap or Still Game, with her cats, Naomi and Natalie. Aimee also enjoys creating digital art, refreshing her Japanese with J-Rock, NHK dramas, and cooking. Aimee has been known to read for fun on occasion. Finally, as the grandchild of a veterinarian and his trusty vet tech, Aimee is particularly fond of animal welfare and tries her best to promote responsible pet ownership when she has time.
