Jessica is a partner in the firm’s retail and restaurant defense group. Her practice focuses on representing clients in premises liability matters in both federal and state court in Virginia. She handles a wide array of matters ranging from negligence and products liability to intentional torts and employment matters, in all stages of the legal process.
In addition to litigating matters in Virginia, Jessica also manages cases for her clients in Maryland, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Kentucky, West Virginia and North Carolina. In those matters, she oversees local counsel with a focus towards the client’s litigation strategy and business model, creating an efficient and cost-effective process.
Jessica is an active member of the National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association and The Gavel. She has presented and written articles on a variety of topics including assessing an employer’s risk of exposure due to an employee’s social media use and how a plaintiff’s bankruptcy filing can affect a personal injury case.
A student of sociology, Jessica takes an active interest in how relationships, lifestyle, and social demographics – particularly the generation to which one is born – affect a case.
When not practicing law, Jessica is an avid traveler, Penn State fan and dog lover.
