Francie Georges
Managing Partner, Workers' Compensation Practice Group
Robert came to law as a second career committed to the idea that excellent skill, knowledge, and representation are not just a goal, but an absolute requirement. As Managing Partner of KPM LAW’s Fairfax Office, Robert put together and manages an aggressive team of litigation professionals committed to aggressive, efficient and responsive promotion of client interests.
Robert focuses his practice on the defense of large loss and complex commercial and construction claims, contract disputes, professional and business liabilities, commercial transportation accidents, and premises liability, as well as insurance coverage analysis and litigation. He has tried numerous cases in both state and federal courts and has successfully argued in the appellate courts of Virginia, Maryland and the Fourth Circuit.
After graduating from the University of Virginia, Robert received a full scholarship to study opera at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. He sang for ten years on stages from the east coast to Chicago before returning to law school at the College of William and Mary, where he took second place in William Mary’s National Moot Court competition and was a member of the I’Anson-Hoffman Inns of Court. Robert is happily married and also manages his boy-girl twins and a wonderful mixed-breed, rescue dog.
Francie is the attorney clients call when they need aggressive action and creative solutions. Having practiced at KPM LAW since 1998, she brings a wealth of litigation experience to her practice, having defended personal injury claims arising from automobile accidents, product and premises liability claims, general commercial liability claims, and property damage claims for a variety of insurance companies and their insureds.
Francie graduated from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1997. She was then selected for a clerkship in the Staff Attorney's Office for the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit before joining KPM LAW. After being promoted to partner, Francie joined the firm's Workers' Compensation Practice Group and, along with Claire Cafritz Carr, helped grow the practice through passionate and aggressive advocacy for her clients and a willingness to go the extra mile on their behalf.
Today, Francie focuses her practice on the defense of workers' compensation claims, drawing on decades of litigation experience to help her clients navigate matters ranging from routine claims to complex disputes. Her long-standing relationships reflect the qualities that have defined her practice throughout her career: responsiveness, tenacity, and sound judgment. She remains a fierce advocate, a trusted resource, and an experienced partner within KPM LAW.
Outside the office, Francie is the proud mother of two daughters. One is following in her footsteps and currently attending law school, while the other is pursuing a career as an EMT/Firefighter, continuing a tradition of public service inspired by Francie's late husband. When she's not practicing law, Francie enjoys spending weekends at Lake Gaston with her family and their two golden retrievers, and cheering on her favorite Premier League soccer clubs.
